notes:my mission today was to use my $20 gift of savings that expired at the end of this week. i didn't know exact prices when making my shopping list and as i was shopping i thought i might be a dollar or 2 short, but i figured if i was i'd just add on a Children's Miracle Network donation.

the register acted kind of weird though. i was short, so i asked the cashier to add a $3 donation to get my total including tax up to $20, but when the gift of savings was scanned the register said i still needed $2.50 more to use it. that made sense since i didn't really expect the gift of savings to pay tax. so we added another donation for $2.50. then the register said i was $.04 short. so we added a $.25 donation, then the gift of savings went through but the register said a $1 coupon was not applied, and asked whether or not to continue. i said that was fine and we completed the transaction. looking at my receipt i see that the $1 veet video values coupon shows as $0!

the thermacare also counted towards the weekend warrior deal.

of course if you are doing a similar transaction, you can add $5.75 of whatever you like rather than the donation. but i didn't mind putting that money to a good cause, especially since the overall cost only came to $.08, including my milk!

i have the wellness gold+ discount - after earning 1000 points wellness+ cardholders receive 20% off. customer will receive the lower of the discount price or sale price. read more here
