the everlast shots do say "supplement" on them, so using the $10 coupon is legit. however, according to policy the cashiers are supposed to adjust the coupon to the selling price - in this case $5.99. in my experience at rite aid this is rarely done, so long as you have other items in your order for the overage to apply to. (i would have gotten 4 to avoid any overage, but my store only had 2 in stock.) keep in mind you might not be able to find everlast in non-gnc stores.
i'm not sure about the quality, but i figured $2.99 for a usb hub was worth the risk. :)
